Indeed an invitation arrived, and so it was on the eve of Valentine’s Day that Mina, all puppy fat and virginal curiosity and hastily Lubridermed psoriasis packed into Macy’s house-brand velvet dress

wait was she doing the racist thing or did she have to put up with the racism?

you should’ve seen it coming, though.

“sparrows” oh god, my heart just broke. ohhhhhmy god.

for fuck’s sake somebody stop ellen

I mean, even in countries like India, where abortion has been legal since Independence, most women have trouble accessing them because of their poverty. South Africa is even worse - the number of backdoor abortions is probably really high.

Oh god. We all know this is going to end up in so many abandoned children, so many illegal and dangerous abortions, so many dead women, so much trauma especially on the women who are being forced to carry out these pregnancies to term.

his movies are the best. I always thought that if Americans were more into foreign films than they are on an average, In The Mood For Love would’ve created huge fashion trends

They’re my favourites too! I also have a lot of love for My Blueberry Nights although I do not understand my love for it

Listen, all I want from ABC is another season of Selfie...PLEASE I NEED IT

Emma Thompson + Joni Mitchell pull it up one rank

Same, she deserved every goddamned award for that movie.

It was! Mira Nair is flawless.

Happy Christmas was great. Lena Dunham was really endearing in it. *hides underneath bed*

Agreed. that actually made me gasp in the theatre. And even just before the last shot, Charlotte Gainsbourg’s terrified face, so disturbing

i wish he was my grandfather. we’d get drunk together and talk smack about celebs and it would be wonderful.

Oh god, I still don’t get why people fangirl over it. Ryan Gosling’s character basically threatens suicide to get the girl to go out with her. Ew.

that one with drunk Mark Wahlberg omg

but is the entire movie worth it? just for that shot? Romance with excellent cinematography always goes to Wong Kar Wai’s movies. Have you watched In The Mood For Love or Happy Together? If you haven’t you should check them out, I think you’ll love them. The cinematography is absolutely stunning.
