God, I have some beef with Nolan about this shit, too. Technically great, but the dialogue makes my eyes roll so hard they hurt. But mostly I think it’s the fanboys who start calling me stupid and other, worse names because I don’t like his movies that make me hate them even more.

Gravity was SO much special effects and zero emotional complexity. So it was technically great - the 16 minute opening shot? Cool. But how the director went from making something as awesome as Children of Men to that shallow wank fest is beyond me. Also, is there any movie in which Clooney is not just all smug?
