Middle of the episode, the parents show Danny photos of the Indian dudes she could marry and Danny’s like “Mindy would never go for this - needs more white NFL players” or something like that. The running gag on the show is that Mindy is a gun loving, racist woman who would prefer to be white.

I dont claim to know much about the history of memoirs but I think recently The Liars Club by Mary Karr made them cool for a while before their extreme oversaturation
