I think telling the airlines to get fucked is a pre-qualifier, at least.

We already subsidize this bozo - the airlines have been subsidized for DECADES now. If they're going to be gov't run pigs, let's at least make it official, you know?

The real question is whether or not whatever Skynet database those things report to will see Drudge's actions as a hostile act by one individual or by the "human race" as a whole. Damn Drudge and his crazy high readership!

Fantastic observation!

Wait, do those guys in the bro trucks actually think they're cool? I thought they HAD to drive those things for work/muddin' or something in Ohio. (not being sarcastic, it honestly just never occurred to me)

Oh, it's a thing. There's a guy arguing pro-Avgas on this very thread!

Yes, or a Cord 810 or an old SSK Benz. They can all benefit ... they can also benefit from alcohol/ethanol, since the tetraethyl leads in avgas (like, almost literally the worst kind of airborne pollutant, even in trace/ppm amounts) leave it at about 100-110 octane in LL (low-lead) form. That's well short of E85,

Probably not, if it was just a slight ping. The Avgas probably caused some pinging in it, since the lead is basically an octane booster that the CRX didn't need.

I wish. I can't tell you how many tuning clients I've had call in and tell me "I'm not afraid of fast cars. I put Avgas in my [insert Corvette/Cobra replica/other big-inch, low-compression American muscle car that absolutely would not ever benefit from Avgas]."

I couldn't agree more with this list ... I would like to add a "number 11", though: idiots who put Avgas in their cars. Spraying your fellow humans with lead toxins because you think "airplane fuel" is what makes airplanes fast is unforgivable.

Sadly, that good suspension doesn't sell MANY Lotuses (Lotii?) ... nor does it help sell Isuzus or Opel/Vauxhalls, as GM hilariously discovered.

In my heart of hearts, I know that would make a fantastic, 50-part Manga series.

Whenever I think of America kicking ass on a global scale, I think "classic Mustang". Maybe it's just me, but the sound of a well-tuned V12 really gets my juices flowing!!

It's virtually undrivable ... the MT900 Photon on the other hand, was very quick and nimble.

It happened on Obama's watch because of a bridge loan from the Bush administration issued in '08 specifically because Bush and the Republican strategists in congress didn't want GM to go bankrupt on their watch. Here, enjoy some history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_M…

Actually, that's NOT how socialism works. If we had that, then everything happening would be a federal issue, they'd print money, pay the pensions/benefits, and none of this would have ever happened because we have non-commoditized fiat currency that determines its value through taxation and foreign debt transactions.

It's in the witch's wood shop as a wooden toy.

Yes! I'd put a $5-er on it, for sure.

Correct.

Since we're talking Michigan Mile, did you notice this car drove more than 3 hours to the event on pump gas and street tires, went 212 then 213 on back-to-back runs before driving 3 hours back home?
