Well, no. I think that he clearly made a distinction between people who focus on ‘identity politics’, usually those of said identity, and ordinary people. He’s about as tone deaf as it comes. My concerns are actually both and it’s possible to care about both.

Tom Hanks is a perfect gentleman and a kind employer. I would be extremely surprised to hear that he had ever put his hands on a man or a woman without permission. So you’re good with that one at least.

Some of his behavior is perfectly normal. He’s a horney guy who comes onto a lot of handsome young men. Some of his behavior is aggressive and intimidating and on set would constitute a hostile workplace.
