This has disaster written all over it. What happens when you move back and don’t spend every waking moment together, you know because you have a job, family, and your own life?  Co-dependency like this never ends well.  

This would be my take as well. Try to turn it from “me moving back there” to “OMG, we need to take our plans to v2.0 and you guys need to move here! because ... reasons”.

Life changes all the time. The friend should realize that life is way more complicated than hanging on to some fantasy about growing old together.

This is just blatant childishness as far as I’m concerned. Why European can’t muster the courage to do the considerate thing for a friend she supposedly loves so dearly is beyond me.

Life happens, best laid plans and all that. But yeah, you gotta be honest about what’s happening. And whatever is happening now for each of you doesn’t necessarily rule out the Golden Girls retirement you both talked about. The pathway to that took some unforeseen twists, is all.

Repubs have been trying to recall him prior to the pandemic stuff. They’re pretending that some of his hypocritical actions during covid as the reason for the recall demand. The movement has a lot of anti-vaxxer support.

That a governor could be recalled for enacting public health measures during a pandemic is just frustrating. Im a veteran who served in combat for this country and I believe in liberty and freedom for all but I despise stupidity.
