I can’t wait to ditch the masks, but I do intend to wear them when I’m feeling sick and have to go out in public. That just seems like the polite thing to do? Most of the friends I’ve discussed this with have agreed that post-pandemic they’ll be masking up while sick.

Hell I’m a full-blown 90s baby but remember polio and rubella running rampant in my country (Brazil). It was only when the government spearheaded a full-blown vaccination campaign did things get normalized in the early 2000s if I recall correctly- so whenever I see clowns telling me the horrors of vaccines, I just

My niece is a precious little toddler who turned one right before the pandemic started. Last spring and summer, she finally started walking and talking and showing her personality.

Not only did I wear an onion on my belt, but I wore a necklace made of garlic because it was known that the town’s vampire would descend from his castle on the hill on nights when the moon was full. Or maybe that was the town’s werewolf. It was so long ago since I left the village.

Yes this a thousand times! It truly has helped with the anxiety I get in public places

I’m going to go full Grandpa Simpson. I was born at the tail end of the Baby Boom. On the first day of kindergarten the entering class would line up outside the elementary school gymnasium and be given a full set of vaccinations. There were no exemptions for this and it was free and mandatory. No one resisted. Why?

Probably. Outside of having a reaction to the Moderna vaccine, it’s been really nice not getting some sort of cold or cough this past year. The last time that happened, was when I worked night shift, and wasn’t around many people. The moment I went to days and was around people, I got so many colds.

In New Zealand right now, the number of active cases is zero. No one wears masks. People go out to dinner, movies, and hug their close friends. Sounds like fucking paradise.

I’m wearing my mask out until I hear local, state and national officials say it’s OK - and even then, I’m keeping it on until I see numbers that confirm we’ve reached herd immunity.

I think for me, it will be situational. I totally see myself continuing to wear them around places like healthcare facilities and hospitals (basically anywhere where someone would be while ill), and I would totally wear them in airports and on planes. I haven’t decided super beyond that. Lipstick is one of those tiny

My parents and doctors tried to get me to wear a mask for my allergies. Sadly, I was a goofy 12-year-old at the time, and I was way too embarrassed to do so. I love that mask-wearing has been normalized now, and I will use them as needed without shame. (Plus, I’m an old now, so IDGAF if people think I look dumb.)

I always cough on planes because the air dries out my throat. When I wore a mask on the plane, I didn’t cough at all. So I’m going to wear them on planes going forward.

The one thing that should stay is social distancing. Mostly because some of these mother fuckers needed to back out of my personal space even before the pandemic. I should not feel you breathing on me in line at the grocery store.

I asked my HR person yesterday about what workplace rules we’ll have for returning to the office and she said that there were some legal complications with requiring vaccines. She didn’t rule it out, but said that there would be more conversations before any new policy could be rolled out.

I may not be as conscientious about it, but I used to wear masks on the plane, for example, when I wasn’t feeling 100%. I figure that I’ll be masking diligently for the rest of the year, though.

I just hope we get there, but depending on what article you read, the number of people planning on not getting the vaccine could be enough to keep us from ever hitting herd immunity. Because we, as a species, are idiots.

It’s interesting talking to coworkers who are nearing retirement, because many of them remember

I think it’ll become situational. Crowded spaces like planes, transportation, stadiums etc. Yeah i probably will. If I ever get back to an office - it’ll depend on the setting but I can see mostly no with smaller amounts of people to interact with as long as everyone is vaccinated. I think there will be settings where

When this is over I will stop wearing mine. I would like to think we will see a world where sick people wear mask, but I doubt that.

Once the virus is pretty much gone I will. Aside from that I’m considering wearing one when I’m sick in the future at all. Might as well right?

Definitely keeping the masks going. There are still new strains popping up and previous reports and studies have already indicated COVID-19 isn’t the worst virus out there. In fact, some are saying it’s simply a sign of things to come.
