Did you see her as a contestant on "America's Got Talent"?
I thought she was really sweet and had a great personality. When you see them talking to Nick Cannon and talking the judges before they go into "performance mode" you get a feel for them as a person that you don't necessarily have the chance to on SNL, so that

Why the f would I see John Wick 2?
I just said that I don't watch January-April with rare exceptions.

that is a great point. Watchmen, 300, Deadpool, V for Vendetta were all released in the Jan-April wasteland. There's generally room for one film to clean up at that time

also, one other thing. Those guys who loudly tout their feminism all hitting on Cecily Strong. I suspect that's what at least some of the annoying SJW males at AV Club (both writers and in the comment section) are like.

I make it a point to appreciate and even write letters to Lindsay Graham's office telling him that. He and McCain have done a little. Obviously I want more, but it's better than nothing.

only one I haven't seen. it's not on hulu

Some say you can't argue comedy, but if I were going to try to do just that, I would allege:
1. It's a tired premise (bad person tries to cover up wrongs) that SNL has done at least a few times before.
2. The specificity of the sketch didn't specically help it. The guy bringing up chocolate and the accent was specific

Oh god, you're not one of those people who thought that "normalizing crime" was a criticism.

I love Cecily Strong and Vanessa Bayer.
Bayer has some strong angles she takes (over eager children, bubbly personalities in wierd situations) and always exudes a certain level of smiley fun.

as far as my knowledge of pop culture is concerned, we haven't started.
I have no idea who he is, I didn't catch his musical bits last night, I dont believe i've ever heard his music.

Judging by the sheer size of the cast, Zoopolis has got to have the biggest budget in history. It would be interesting to add up the voice over salaries per movie (I believe IMDB lists that somewhere) of Jodi Foster, Oprah Winfrey, Kathy Griffin, Judi Dench, Hugh Grant, Javier Bardem, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon,

I want them to do more, sure. They could and should have blocked DeVos, but I am going to appreciate them when they do something that helps.

I tried to introduce my dad and uncle to sci-fi the other day, bc I feel they aren't very open in their movie tastes, so I said let's watch Terminator.

I generally back off films that are released until January to April.

I caught up on Bates Motel, Modern Family, It's Always Sunny and watched the film Amadeus for the first time.

what do you mean by reactionary jingoists?

In your paragraph here, you seem to have a good knack for film writing.

First off, I'm suspsicious if this is good why it's being released in the January-April wasteland. Few good films are released there.

I've never heard of the Running Man. I think I have a cultural blindspot for the 80s.
But, I love Yaphett Kotto. He was my favorite Bond villain and LaLD was my favorite Bond film.

Nice anchorman reference.
Al Franken, effective to his career by being on snl, worth debating…go!
