the comment I responded to was saying that the Academy should base its decisions on what meets the least backlash. If anything, I thought they responded too generously to the Black Lives Matter. They should have said "hello, we just elected a black president to the academy, we have a black Oscar host, and our honorary

Well, how about the Academy not listen to the haters. They're not running a YouTube channel with a public relations strategy of responding to every comment

I mean 400 films are released every year, to make the top 8-9 is still pretty impressive. Besides, the current system assures that each one earns a certain amount of academy love.

He doesn't have to watch it, some people are busy. I don't know if I'll be able to watch Moonlight before the ceremony tomorrow night, but to say "I've never heard of it, therefore, why nominate it" that's dumb

Because it's an honor to be nominated. It's literally everything to be nominated. I'd say being nominated is more important than winning.

are you kidding me? expanding it past 5 is the best move the Oscars ever made.

I just watched it (after watching and loving the first two seasons than falling out of viewing)
If you've seen S 4, maybe you can asnwer why doesn't Emma have that oxygen tank anymore?

where do you journalism?
Personally, I'm freelance but still get a few press releases here and there.
Occasionally, ppl want me to review something for my blog, but my blog never makes me any money, so pretty much it's a flat-out no, unless I can get a friend (who wants to be published on a blog) to do it

I know this is a tangent, but I feel like you're unfairly stigmatizing divorcees here. It's not necessarily the fault of a divorcee that they're marraige didnt work, and it certainly doesnt mean you cant find a guy. I would say a divorcee has a better chance at finding a working marraige again than someone who has

That film wasn't so bad. I worked at AMC movie theaters at the time, and my mom and grandmother really loved it (I got them free tickets).
But, it was one of the few films Stephen Colbert acted in and didn't play a sports announcer. It also had Kristen Chenowith singing in a couple snippets.

To me the difference is ambition. Superstore (which I find decent but not great, opinions may vary) isn't a game changer. It's best asset is depicting working class as I understand but stuff like Greg Garcia's shows or "Mom" do that much better.

And an Oscar winner and an alternative to the US Olympic archery team in Athens and Beijing IIRC….didnt know she was in MENSA or a model.

but even then she's pretty cheery

Yeah but what's up with Wendy not being in them?
That's as bad as Judah Friedlander being in the 30 Rock opening credits but not his two colleagues Twofer and Lutz even though the three had equal screentime.

I thought Batman was in Gotham and not Charm City?
I like the way the show references stuff like Buzzfeed and Facebook STalking (and some other stuff I cant think of off the top of my head) and integrate it into this universe.

I think the most interesting thing about that scene is that Mia's reaction to the people bashing her play is the old-school equivalent of artistic creators getting tripped up creatively over internet comments and it's also a homage to "Singing in the Rain"

Could you elaborate on Point E.
I tried transitioning from journalism to writing press releases and I didn't always have a lot of luck with it

I'm not sure if that's comment of the week material, but it's in the running!

Did Josh Hartnett do it any better in the lesser-seen film "Hollywood Homicide"?

What happens on the Limey? I remember the sum of all fears had the source novelist and director going at it w their disagreements that was entertaining
