you got two thumbs up for that? whiteness is a construct anyway. nationality can't represent diversity to you? someone growing up in south Africa or Israel brings different experiences and viewpoints to the table. Besides in the 2020 census, Natalie Portman would go from being recognized to white to being North

I can think of three reasons:
1. The lead role is supposed to be played by a plus-size woman
2. Arianna Grande was pretty good on Saturday Night Live but I don't know if she can carry a whole musical
3. The casting for the musical had a lot of big name players in side parts too like Michelle Pfeiffer and Queen Latifah in

anyone watching Shut Eye? That show is so good so far, I don't know if Hulu is prestige enough to get AVClub TV staff's attention but I was ohoping they'd review it. I like Jeff Donovan and the idea of a dytime noir based on tarot card readers sounded intriguing. The producer was behind Better Call Saul and Breaking

was the 1988 film a musical or just the 2007 film? i wonder where all the songs came from

Hairspray was an awesome film that got nominated for a BAFTA and a Screen Actor's Guild Ensemble Award. Wasn't one of the very most successful films of that year but did pretty well and definitely gained some new fans. I was thoroughly digging it when I watched it.

I liked Ocean's 11 a lot but I also think the sort of fraternal smugness that developed out of the film between Pitt, Clooney, and Damon got really annoying and by Ocean's 12 they weren't even doing any work at all ajnd they went on press tours talking about how they had a lot of fun BUT don't worry they did work,

Ha, I saw that film!

Mary is more common than Martha today

i put some time and effort into a thoughtful response. it seems extremely reasonable to discuss if Portman's Israeli heritage and Theron's South African heritage qualifies as diverse viewpoints.
if you're going to take issue with it, at least explain

Five things in his favor are:
1. Being one of the only Republicans to immediately support Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch's nominations for the position and not treating it as a chance to give Obama a headache as most Republicans do
2. The voter fraud case was a county that was found to have been committing voter fraud

I take what I said back if it's not too late to apologize.
You are aloud to judge me and define me into a school of thought. I think assuming is a mistake but I do it too. Saying I'm contrarian is just off and I just think I made a very great argument for why I'm not a contrarian but a liberal centrist that I felt

does non-american or non-british-born count as diversity? Because Natalie Portman is Israeli and Charlize Theron is South African. I'm actually impressed by how Marion Cotillard or Eva Green are being worked into the American film industry despite coming form foreign backgrounds though I imagine European doesn't count

Wow, someone agreed with me on something for once!
thank you!

oh god, cocaine, i had nightmares about our last encounter that has produced a wide range of emotions in me. Aside from the feeling (and maybe I was wrong about your intentions, it's just how i felt) about not having respect for the time and effort to engage you that day, i think you simply were using me as a prop to

I think it's ok to go for the more escapist angle. That he is some Tim Curry-like evil genius is less funny despite him probably being more evil than the current portrayal is showing. We need some escapism from the Trump empire too

they logistically can't do Baldwin as Trump that much.

I think every person feels their position is the best by nature of the fact that they've adopted. fighting that hubris is a struggle for everyone including myself. I do feel there's merits to a more centrist approach in communication.

it was a bit excessive.

Really good episode. The well thing was definitely committing to the concept. Debette Goldry and high school theater were both hilarious. I think the weakest was the Mary Magdalene one.

and that's why I think you are part of the problem (my definition of you) while thinking that your causes are worthwhile.
