Junji Ito! I was so crushed when I heard that he was supposed to be contributing to Silent Hills. His concepts translated to video game form... I can’t even picture something that perfect.

Narutaru still haunts me to this day. I’m told it’s relativity tame compared to some of the stuff that’s out there.

Aren’t all of these from Ito Junji stories? It really does look like it. Nice to see one of the best horror mangaka get some recognition.

Umezu Kazuo is still the scariest writer I’ve seen. Isn’t as grotesque with blood and guts, but he knows how the tweak the small stuff. Hyouryuu Kyoshitsu (The Drifting Classroom) gave me nightmares.

Junji Ito has some pretty effed up stuff. Be glad mainstream audiences will never see certain Japanese manga, or knows the existence of our own Underground comix. I’ve been shocked much more by Gatarou Man, Ito is really close though!
