I would’ve recommended you find a teacher, but hey, you gots to be you!

That’s great... It seems like there were a bunch of us who grew up on these Scary Stories. I never really talked to many people about my love for these books; or heard anyone else talk about them. But they were amazingly frightening!

So I need to find a child to buy books for me?

Quick reminder because this comes up every time Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark comes up: yes, we all like the Stephen Gammel illustrations way more, and the Brett Helquist illustrations that HarperCollins puts out really detract from the stories and lack the punch of Gammel’s work. But! BUT.

*shrug* I don’t think there’s really anything off about the Levi one. The other ones, yes. But he said that in the article. He only said the Levi one was convincing, and I agree with that.

I’d say it’s less about the eyes and more of the general facial structure of the first three.

For the press/preview day, there most certainly was.

I imagine there’s a long line for the Levi.

I’d go with the 2DS. Its a third the price of the NEW 3DS, plays all of the same games but two, and is pretty fantastic.

No, NO 3DS on market plays GBA games. Otherwise, you’d see me play Castlevania and a bunch of awesome GBA games. GBC and GB games are the only ones on the VC.

If you’re looking for GBA games, you can pick up a DS Lite for pretty cheap, and still play DS games (but not 3DS games).

Must not have played much of any of the new games. Physical/Special move split, Abilities, Item holding, Mega forms, among many many other additions have built upon and enhanced the core gameplay for at least a decade.

They were great games, at the time. There has been 20 years to improve the formula.

As someone who hasn’t owned a Nintendo hand-held since the original DS (which died ingloriously in Mexico after only a few months), which one should I purchase?

I, too, embraced the forever alone-ness.

There is a reason Kadabra is my favorite Pokemon. (One of those reasons is I never had anyone to trade with to get Alakazam.)

I played Pokemon Blue a few weeks ago and holy hell the game has not aged well. I forgot how OP Psychic Pokemon were in this game.

Toys R Us(at least in Canada) had a promotion where each store gave away a Golden Gameboy Pocket(approx. 500 stores - 500 Golden Gameboys). My friend won it, and I bought it off him brand new since he didn’t want it.

I played Pokemon Red on it, and collected all 150 originals by trading etc. It was pretty much a prized

And then everyone will realize how poorly these games have aged.

I’m as big a fan of this franchise as they come, but let’s be real people- completing your Pokédex in Red/Blue was a CHORE, since you couldn’t breed your starter you had to either trade with your friends as you kept up a similar pace, or start one
