Obviously stuff is going on at theRoot and i’m getting nervous & suspicious.

I don’t get the anger. If you want to date someone from another race that’s your right.

Spot on. I have a young cousin who is around 14 and when he was maybe 10... He said he didn’t want to date a black woman because they were loud and abrasive. Now he was referencing his Nana (who raised him) who is loud and abrasive and curses a lot. But sadly that experience has informed his view of black women

Do my years of snark on Kinja count as experience?

I think I have some thoughts today about Patrick Patterson

Same here. People around my age are more, “motherhood (and/or marriage) isnt for everyone” and pretty much leave it at that. Damn near every older person has this condescending attitude that marriage and kids are the end all be all. Just the other week an older lady I know was talking about getting money from her

“I’ll come to the door in a minute!  I’m getting stuffed right now.”

Ah, gotcha. I guess that makes sense. I think we just call all of it stuffing regardless if it’s cooked inside or outside the bird.

‘Can poppy seeds do more than decorate bagels?’ Yes indeed they can. They can be bought from a supermarket with the intentions of being used in a couple of baking projects, only to be somehow dropped, the entire bag, in the living room, and so can live in your carpet for the next four years or so, sodding things....

To be fair, its hard to fault them for trying to treat the thing at a hospital with better facilities. Plague, regardless of type does respond very well to antibiotics so it’s easier to contain in places where medical supplies are more plentiful and easier to replenish.

Counterpoint: turkey is great when actually cooked correctly, stuffing is literally the best food on the planet and the most exciting thing about the entire holiday, mashed potatoes are objectively good and the whole mess tastes incredible when you pour a bunch of gravy and tart cranberry sauce on it.

oy, thank you. i despise meat in my stuffing - the turkey is the meat y’all, wtf is this sausagey business? i want a lovely melange of bread and mir poix and all those sagey, thymey herbs - not sausage. boooooo.

Well, see: the plan waaaaas.....I’d write a check for a million and get that cush European Ambassadorship, right? Beaucoup parties! I mean, I’m a fun guy? Everyone knows that! Then they throw Ukraine at me. I was like, OK? WTF, but, OK, right? Don’t they have an ambassador? And then I saw her and I was like, OK yikes,

Sondland is a rich, selfish fuck and there is no way he is going down for another almost rich selfish fuck like Trump.

Kissinger’s still walking around as a free and lauded man so I wouldn’t expect Cheney or Rumsfeld to go down for anything, they’re small fry compared to Dr. Killinger.

My family loves roast turkey. We had it on Christmas and Easter as well as Thanksgiving and always enjoy it and the sides. We will eat a roast chicken if there aren’t enough of us for turkey, but we genuinely do love turkey. We also have several people who don’t eat red meat, so a rib roast would  never do.

This is what dry snitchin is supposed to look like. Spill all the tea in such a way that disbelieving asshole with an “R” in front of there representative name will have to remain silent or (in this case) continue to look like lying-ass sycophants. Making room to include Evil Race Bannon Pence was a lovely touch. Even

What is stunning to me is that they thought that their approach would bring more clicks to the site. Step 1, kill your current readership; Step 2, ???; Step 3, profit!

Yeah, I’ve learned a lot on this site and it has been really helpful for me, a middle aged white guy, to hear a variety of perspectives, but I am getting less and less from this site/these sites each day.  Such a shame.

I’m thinking the lack of coverage might be herb-related...
