He was great in The Good Wife, too!
He was great in The Good Wife, too!
I know a lot of people shit all over Veep, but for me it's the most consistently laugh-out-loud funny show out there.
I seriously can't even imagine that whole act in a sauna of all places. I'm with Hannah for once.
I'm with you. I laughed and smiled a lot during this episode (though if you asked me to specifically name scenes/lines, I'd be at a loss) and that automatically bumps the grade up for me. The only place I disagree with you is Judge Abernathy, who I sort of love.
It seems that, regardless of who the guy is, everybody seems to hate all of Fiona's boyfriends. JJS was probably the best liked (up until he wasn't), but it makes me wonder who the ideal person would be for her? I'm not really sure there is one that would satisfy people. Any guy fucked up enough to be able to…
Makes me think of Alex P. Keaton and his folks!
In fairness, though, I did see Scot (and maybe Jason - I can't remember) several times just sitting there doing nothing from sheer exhaustion — just taking breaks. I got the impression that Alecia was trying to contribute even when she couldn't physically take digging in the dirt that way.
The episode also felt… faster. The dialogue and the action both.
Um, yeah. I think we all get that.
Me, too. But prior to this I often pictured Jackie Chiles instead.
I was laughing as soon as Darden glossed over Fuhrman saying he collected WW2 memorabilia. You knew there was going to be a Nazi plate collection or something at his house.
I'm really trying to ignore the physical incompatibilities between Cuba and OJ, but unlike other people on the show, I still am not seeing OJ. I have to believe there were a LOT of actors who could make this more convincing, whether through physical resemblance or a more convincing portrayal.
I'll never again be able to see CBV without thinking that he IS actually Johnnie Cochran.
It's good at being exactly what it intends to be - a feel good achievement movie. I have MoviePass and I see pretty much everything that ranks over a 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, so we went to see this the other night and it was totally fine. It's a film for people who like to see somebody overcome some odds and maybe be…
This episode is bringing me back around on this show. I was starting to lose hope because I left every show basically wanting to light Abby on fire. This was an imperfect episode for sure, but it made me less ragey at least. Carl, I'm very disappointed in you.
Sadly, I think they've just gotten used to my insanity :)
I sort of liked Gus when he first came on the scene, but now he's just insufferable in his inability to take any responsibility for a) impulsively marrying a woman he barely knows, and b) what he did know of her did not point to stability. He fell for her wildness and then felt cheated when he got exactly what he…
My reading of it was that the pic went viral on campus and Gawker was more featuring it because it went viral, had repercussions and had a sexy pic to go along with it. It didn't seem that farfetched to me.
I literally squealed when I saw Elsbeth in the previews for next week. I was starting to get overly concerned with the lack of Carrie Preston this season.
I don't know… I think it's precisely that kind of unthinking, casual racism that people like Monica or Lucca probably experience all the time. There was nothing malicious in Diane & Cary's actions, but rather an assumption that they must have a shared experience without getting to know anything about their individual…
