Agree here.  The judges don't like stupid and Tom, in particular, doesn't suffer fools gladly, so even though I thought Patti should go home, I'm not surprised it was Ramon.

Did anybody else think it was odd that, after the Irish dismembered Phil and other guy, Jax tells Gemma that they're on "lockdown" but doesn't put any protection on Tara/kids/Gemma or make them stay at TM?

^^^THIS.  I love that there is now a character on the show who sort of gets Max and doesn't coddle him.  I think there's a sort of kinship.  Hank as part of a bromance works for me.

Because I love Lauren Graham so much, I always find myself hoping that her character will be less annoying at the beginning of each season.  I didn't mind her this episode and I'm hoping that moving out of her parents' guest house is a good sign of a better Sarah to come, but I'm not holding my breath.

When they announced the nominees last night, I turned to my husband and said, "It sucks that Merrit Wever won't win," and then she did!  I am rarely so happy to be proven wrong!

For all its issues, I really enjoy this show and I'm glad to have a reviewer on board who has an open mind about the show!

I'm thinking she'll have a breakdown about the hair and have the character get extensions or something.  I think she's beautiful but that haircut (wig) is distracting as shit.

@avclub-7287f1910791eb8cf1bc62db5d310646:disqus I could be COMPLTELY wrong about this, but I'm thinking (like dawesterity said below) that it was the guy who originally hired Richard or a replacement hit man who killed bearded guy.  And I think he tax notification probably fell out of the book when it flew off the

She said something to the effect of, "I got shot in the place that earns me money" or something equally silly.  My first thought was, "She got shot in the vagina?"  and then I realized she got shot in the leg last season.  I'm pretty sure she could still be an escort/regular porn girl.  Definitely a stretch.  Would

@avclub-90a5da808b7409c044aac94d490e7f0d:disqus That bathroom speech was so good.  I fucking love Crazy Eyes.

Agreed. In addition, I think finding out whether or not Seward was actually guilty was a big part of what was propelling Linden through this investigation, so it's an important part of the plot of this season.  And it's not just a random political statement, but a critical look at the various people factions that deal

I know they sort of shoehorn Ike Barinholtz into scenes, but I'm sort of embarrassed at how much I love the character.  It probably has to do with the fact that I am totally juvenile. When he and Mindy were giggling and roughhousing over sex puns in the back of the car, I couldn't stop laughing.  And how he took his

It's been said before, but I'll say it again - if Elisabeth Moss doesn't win an Emmy for this, it will be criminal.  But also, I think Peter Mullan has been sort of amazing.  He does the shift between normal to loony to psychotic so well.

My husband LOVES the fact that Don constantly ignores or is incredibly dismissive to people.  He thinks it's great that he never tries to adhere to this social construct of making small talk with people lol.

I really want Debbie and Sheila to take the mother/daughter surrogate relationship a little further. They both so desperately need somebody to fill those roles in their lives, so I hope they continue to grow close after this.

Ugh.  I thought that speculum shot was a really effective way of defining just how awful he was planning to be (as if the torture and pain aspect isn't enough).  I'm sure that scene with all the devices was 100% scarier for any women watching.

The great thing about Seth Rogen is that he never seems like he's reading from a script.  He's almost unnaturally natural for an actor.  It's probably because he plays really similar characters in a lot of his films/appearances, but whatever it is, it makes him so fun to watch.

I'm 90% sure it was a woman.  But I wanna know who that bitch is!

That scene made me like Carol even more.  I had been warming to her for a while, but seeing her use her noggin like that pleased me to no end.

I'm so fucking glad somebody made the point about the fact that it IS realistic that hot guys DO bone non-traditionally hot women on a regular basis.  I am the heaviest of all my girlfriends and, objectively speaking, have easily the hottest husband of them all.  He is not attracted to me in spite of my body, but
