We’ve had shitty governments before. Enough of the doom and gloom, start thinking about what you want and how to help achieve it. Start now, because elections are in less than two years.

Throughout the campaign, Trump flew back to NYC nearly every single night because he can’t stand sleeping away from Trump Tower. Now he’s got to spend four years in Washington. He hates this.
“12 years old were accused of stabbing their classmate Payton Leutner 19 times to appease a legendary figure (by way of meme) known as the Slender Man”
I feel you. Here’s the thing to me: Trump won because Democratic turn-out in WI, MI, and PA was *down* compared to 2012. By waaaay more than enough to give Clinton those states. Had as many Democrats in WI, MI and PA made it to the polls this year as they did in 2012, Hillary Clinton wins the election.
We were totally undeserving of Obama, while Trump is exactly what this country fucking deserves.
Man, I’m tired of the snark. Grow up.
Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.
I have three, all having to do with the house I grew up in.
I figured I can’t be the only one in need of a palate cleanser after reading these scary stories. So, here goes: When I was dating my now husband, his cousin passed away from cancer at 17. I got to know his cousin fairly well the last year of his life and really loved him. Because he died so young (and after losing…
Once, when I was in high school, a bunch of girlfriends and I decided to play Ouija during a sleepover. My friends were an odd mix - social outcasts who banded together over being the weirdos. So we had the stoner punk girl, the nice and quiet religious girl, the slacker girl, the goth girl, the two twins whose mom…
When I was in third grade, my brother and I were at a neighbors house, doing what kids will do - having a seance while using a Ouija board. My brother was in 4th grade and there were kids younger and older than us, the oldest being 15 or so.
We had a friend of the family named Ruth, who had been a college friend of my grandmother and very close to our family. She wasn’t married and didn’t have kids, but she was an infinitely sweet and generous woman who was a very dear auntie to all of us. Ruth also had an amazing house: a sprawling stone house with Tudor…
This is not a story of how I was scared but how I likely inspired someone else’s story.
I grew up in an old, brick, tudor that had several additions built on it, including one when I was a small child. The other addition to the house happened before I was born when a porch was enclosed to create a den on the first floor. Since the house was brick you could see where the bricks were added to enclose the…
I run often, on trails when I can, especially during our deep South summers, where any shade is a blessing. I usually run with our two huskies, who look like wolves and who I consider to be a pretty damn good deterrent to anyone who might bother me when we’re out.
I have a few but I’m going to do them in separate posts.
When I was 8 months pregnant, my husband and I moved into a cookie cutter 15 year old home. There was nothing about it that would cause us to think it would be a creepy place. A few weeks after we moved in, I was putting clothes away in the baby’s room and got an overwhelming feeling of dread. It felt like something…
This isn’t very entertaining or dramatic in print but it is true. My high school best friend’s family moved out of a house after 7 months because they swore it was haunted.
More of a creepy maybe home invasion tale but:
I will preface this with the fact that unnatural movements freak me out. A lot.
