I just today witnessed a millennial guy bring a package to the millennial receptionist and ask her to “return this”. It was a big Gilt-emblazoned box. She was reluctantly taking it when I inquired as to what was going on. Well, you see, he “didn’t know how” to send it back.

Actually, all the top 10 female celebrities were under 35 (really?), so none of them will do.

Having finally had an up-close-and-personal experience of an infant through the first months of life, I find it INSANE that I know so many people who only got 8 weeks of maternity leave.

I mean that if north and south are reunited, then Korea has to deal with China on the doorstep. And China’s been making some interesting noises recently. North Korea’s been useful to China in that it’s been that crazy cousin only China can reason with. I don’t think defense funding would drop since China would be

It just sounds like a reboot of the Sunshine Policy with the family meetings.

It’s dubious that defense funding would be decreased, to be honest. Without Crazy Uncle Kim in the North, there’s no China buffer.

When thinking about the estrangement of the Koreas, it helps to realize how far they’ve diverged in such a short time. I recently read that linguists assess up to 30% of the vocabulary has differentiated enough to make communication challenging - South Korea’s got a lot of loan words and Konglish, while North Korea

Yeah, I’m scratching my head over this one as well, but if her message is that families should be able to meet up again then that would be nice.

I think a lot of people find her weird and off-putting, and that's probably a large part of why this whole fiasco happened.

The BBC probe heard that the star erupted in fury after discovering that he no longer had a hot meal available to him when he arrived at a hotel in Yorkshire two hours late. He and the other presenters, Richard Hammond and James May, had delayed their helicopter in order to stay in the pub near to the Top Gear track

I'm glad you enjoyed this show, and hope you realize that you largely enjoyed it because producers like Tymon worked tirelessly to make it happen.

His decision to axe the controversial host from the BBC2 series because of the serious nature of his “fracas” with Oisin, in which he is said to have called him a “lazy, Irish c***” and punched him. The incident happened when Clarkson, 54, was already on a “final warning” after a string of earlier controversies.

I would never verbally assault someone for being incompetent, which the kid is.
His job, and I would think pretty much his sole job as "producer" at that point was to make sure the talent got dinner even though the restaurants had closed

That's a very noble way of thinking about it, but since this was observed by a lot of other staff, I wouldn't be surprised if by day 4 there was a general tone of "if you don't report it, either I will or the press will, at which point you've lost control of the narrative and won't look so good".

That's what I've come away with too - poor guy. He'll be okay professionally, but if Top Gear was his dream job then this sucks immensely. Not to mention deluded assholes will blame him for "ruining a man's life", as though getting hit by a lunatic is something you bring upon yourself.

People have a very difficult time reconciling that someone they like is deserving of punishment in a way that will impact their enjoyment. Send Clarkson to anger management? Sure! Dock him some of his pay? Of course! Put him on suspension... well, I'm not so sure about that. Fire him? NO! Has the BBC lost its mind!?

I don't think you fully understand that the BBC is a publicly funded company, responsible to license-fee payers. One of their stars was at fault for the bodily injury of another staff member, an incident of workplace violence.

Could be - I'm assuming the guy saw it and thought it was gas, or smelled gas and saw it.

When the woman exits the car, she's got an active smartphone in her hand.
