All estimates on the percentage of jailbroken iPhones fall below 10%, usually in the 4-7% range. Using these numbers, you'd be looking at 2-2.5M more Android users at most.

Considering this report is based on estimates and not hard fact, I'd say they're using the term correctly.

"...since you have to wait for your old page to load." — Or you could tap the "x" stop icon to stop the page from loading, or tap the bookmarks or search field to go somewhere else before the page loads. There's no reason one has to wait for the old page to load before doing something else.

I don't think the people here who say they want Windows 7 tablets are sincere. If you really wanted a Windows 7 tablet, you'd have one or, in my case, three.

I cannot check multitouch trackpad usage in Windows but can confirm the pinch and twist gestures work on Windows 7 tablets with multi-touch screens.

As other have mentioned, Google Goggles does most of this, but they leave out that it's built into the Google Search app for iOS. It is free, but kind of a crap shoot in my experience. Only works with live snapshots, not saved photos, and requires a data connection (sends it to their server for interpretation).

A guy in home construction I knew told me he was installing bulletproof material in the walls of a house and the owner freaked out when she saw him zip through it with a table saw. He tried to explain that you can cut a person in half with that saw, which is a lot more damage than a bullet can do, but she canceled the

For my before bed brushing, I've been using a prescription mouthwash delivered by Waterpik to a bacterial build-up around a tooth, followed by normal swishing. It's completely wiped out my morning breath and carries throughout the day. After this problem is fixed (assuming this does the trick), I'm going to keep up

Adding in the time necessary to get the drill and lock in the hook, I don't think this hack saves enough time to be worthwhile (unless you're really slow at using the jack).

"Take the zinc as soon as humanly possible after the cold starts" — This part is key. Do not wait for your dog or other non-human to dispense the zinc. Unless very well trained, they will probably not dispense it as quickly as you or another human could.

I think you'll find it a bit annoying with your suggested usage of checking the mail. The scheduling system appears to track time of day but not day of week.

Long overdue, but kind of pointless now. I've been mobile blogging to Blogger via email for years. It's convenient and platform agnostic.

@jcsimms: There is no indication that it has built-in Wi-Fi.

I notice this under $500 HTPC is envisioned as a media streamer with content coming from the Internet, another PC, or network drive, yet there's no mention of how to connect to that content. Seems a bit short-sighted.

@Jackstick: You're not crazy. The lightning in the photo forks away from the volcano, not towards it. It is the source of the lightning, not the target. Lightning is nothing more than a massive energy discharge and the volcano is releasing massive amounts of energy.

@BoscoH: Pfft. Capitalists set up shop in places that offers tax benefits all the time. States offer tax benefits for the express purpose of attracting businesses and capital investment, just as the Kingdom of Hawaii did to attract the sugar industry when they signed the Reciprocity Treaty of 1875.

@fporter: I don't think the wording was right, but the underlying point is valid.

Or you can buy citric acid for $5-10 a pound on Amazon (or at your local store) and have it in a form that can also act as a all-purpose detergent booster without staining.

@darn: "Please tell me, why on earth would anyone DO that..." — Because many professionals do upgrade every couple of years and SSD will continue to outperform HDD for the foreseeable future. I know several people thinking of buying an SSD with the intention of swapping it forward, myself included.

SSD for primary and HDD for storage is the way to go. My tablet with Intel Atom CPU and SSD boots faster than my media PC with Core 2 Quad and HDD, and that's after I offloaded the media on my PC to a second HDD.
