Clint's wife's whole role in the film consists of "Clint's wife." She exists in the film to tend his house and farm and raise his children and worry about him while he's off fighting bad guys. This would be better if we knew literally anything about her, so that she'd be a character rather than "a housewife." But…

It made me cringe with its out-of-nowhere-ness and its 1950s heteronormativity. But to each their own, I guess.

The farmhouse scene was at least 20% awfuller and more uncomfortable than the cave.
