It is interesting to see the divide between cities (in which people tend to learn tolerance) and rural areas and between educated vs. uneducated. It makes me think that there is hope that people can be taught tolerance through exposure to other ideas and other cultures.

Everyone votes for their own self-interest.

I think the story here is that white women, just like black women, generally vote in their self-interest. Thank you for this story. It was a great example of how these countries operate. It’s unfortunately very indicative of how things work in the Arab world. No one likes to make broad generalizations, but this unfortunately is spot on.
