Thanks for the response, my query was less about the desire for the option and more about how much work it would entail, as I (and others) found the poll to be rather tone deaf and pointless.

Someone also mentioned you could see parts of your body in VR as well. I was just curious about it as I wanted to know how much more work it would take to rig up a female alternative.

What genres are you into? Anime is just like any other medium, there’s gems (Lustrous was recommended. A very good coming-of-age story with just jaw-dropping CGI animation. Also pun intended) and then there’s...stuff with a specific audience in mind.

I’ve been thinking about that (love KLK, this not so much) and for me at least, KLK was much more self-aware of the tropes and embraced them to...Trigger levels (e.g. amazingly ridiculous).

But, agreed, the wording of the poll is pretty damning too, I just don’t think it was meant that way and Cleveland has much less of a problematic Twitter history.

dragonfliet pointed out that in VR, you can see your own torso and other limbs, so it would take more resources to make a female option, which I can appreciate that they wanted to make a more stable game over providing an alternate body.

That’s a pretty fair take. As you said though, the poll is tone-deaf, but I can appreciate that making an alternate sex option would be more than changing a few files then.

Playing as a female would literally involve changing a few files, and just pretending you’re flat chested.
