My favorite parts of the MCU have always been the character/relationship building dialogue for these hero teams. Instead of bringing characters back from the dead, they should do things like this, where they fill in the gaps of time that the movie-goers missed. If comic books are any indication, Wanda and Vision

I just want more skull. That’s all I care about. Skull = Punisher. If he was just pushing papers at H&R Block all season with a giant white skull on his chest, I’d be okay with that.

Yep. Coming from someone who is not a fan of wall-to-wall CG in live action movies, this movie made me forget to be a grumpy old man. I was completely hooked. So yes, it was better than all the others, IMO.

Why is nobody pointing out the irony of A Quiet Place being nominated for best screenplay?? I’m not here to poo-poo the movie, but I’m sure its accomplishments don’t include pages and pages of captivating dialogue. This whole movie award season is a real disappointment. They just seem to be randomly filling the

I’m so fucking excited that the creative landscape has finally changed enough for adult-themed animation to become part of a larger cultural conversation.

I second that emotion... and saw Spider-verse twice opening week. Would you believe that during the first week of its release, while the #1 movie in the country, the showing (huge multiplex in Seattle) was reduced to one measly standard screen??

This was my take as well. It was so refreshing to see Daredevil S3, like they are the one who does the superhero TV thing right. I don’t think it gets the credit it deserves. And I was also disappointed in Defenders... maybe I should give it another shot.

That was exactly what I wanted from Defenders. They so missed the Heroes for Hire boat. The team doing odd jobs and cases for cash (cuz money is always a real problem). It would have been epic and number one on this list.

If by “the press”, you mean my eyes, ears and brains, then guilty as charged. As far as casting, the Danny Rand I always knew was a white dude. I never understood that whole controversy.

Wow. What comedian in their right mind would phone it in, in the presence of so many other prominent comedians? I would think that would be when you bring your A game.

Davidson makes his living on stage, and probably always will. Even his time on SNL is basically spent doing stand-up comedy bits on the Weekend Update. Tiffany has charisma and a possible future as a movie star. She has stand-up experience, but it is clearly not her forte. They couldn’t be more polar opposites.

Right. I sense the sarcasm, but I laugh at pretty much every other line from the Pimp Chronicles (despite being stood up by him at a show in Seattle). That show is famously like 98% quotable.

“Bitch, its called SELF ESTEEM!”

Meh, here’s hoping, for AMC A-List sakes, they keep all those December releases in the theater a little longer.

My trepidation with Glass is that it is the only movie of the trilogy that we actually see coming. I loved how Unbreakable with its somber tone, and Split with its mind-blowing ending, subverted my expectations.

Bloated is an understatement. Who is that team supposed to fight? Jesus?

This is actually the first praise I’ve heard for that movie, as far as putting it on any best-of list.

This is always my hangover cure for anytime a new Transformers property of any kind is released. Here it is, some 30 years later and I’m still waiting for this movie to be outdone.

I see it more as something that is leaning more towards traditional Transformers fans, but there is a lot of residue left from the Bayformers era. You wrote that it was comical how Bumblebee transforms more quickly in this film, but that is the norm for your friendly neighborhood Autobot. I think Bay has conditioned a

Right. They didn’t mention that I had to Easter Egg hunt for where Season 3 of Daredevil was hiding in my app on the release day. Even though I’ve viewed the seasons multiple times, and seasons 1 and 2 advertisements slapped me in the face when they released. Oh, and those alert emails I get for new shows? Nowhere to
