So... do we think “MJ” actually knows that Peter is Spidey, or is this just a red herring? I’d prefer she figure it out - because, like she says, it’s pretty obvious, especially when Spiderman keeps popping up wherever Peter happens to be (but never in the same room), and it doesn’t say much for her character’s…

I kind of figured they’re talking about one of the alternate-timelines Earths the Avengers created by mucking around in the past in Endgame, not some wildly divergent universe with a whole different history and cast of characters.

I like the switcheroo. He spent the whole first movie trying to be an Avenger, and now he’s just trying to be a kid again. It’s a very Spider-Man dilemma.

I like the touch of Peter asking why the MCU’s heavy hitters aren’t getting involved. Reminds me of Scott Lang saying they should call the Avengers in Ant-Man.

Gwen slept with Norman Osborn, I’d say that was worse.

It’ll be interesting to see how far into the film before they reveal whatever Mysterio’s real plan is.  Or maybe they’ll pull an Iron Man III and there’ll be a swerve designed to fool both comic fans and the general public.

There was a vague chance that this was a prequel to Infinity War and Marvel were lying about it taking place straight after Endgame. Also we never saw what year Peter’s passport was validated from in the first trailer, so the five year jump is an additional spoiler.
