Neutral: Having driven cars for so long without the features, I dont really rely on them. Backing up I still look at my mirrors, although I’ve gotten better using my camera in tight spots. Even with blind spot monitoring I still look, just out of habit. Never needed emergency braking.

So, Tesla knows exactly how many “smart summons” were used in the first day.

I disagree. When they offer you a ridiculously low interest rate, take the longest term they’ll let you. That money you had saved up to purchase the car can then sit in an investment account working for you instead, the longer the better.

Come on now, that’s a MAJOR step up from David Tracy.

Life is short - F it and get a 10 year loan.

Again, the question should not be “why do these auto workers get such great pay and benefits”, it should be “why are we screwing our teachers so badly?”

This is the worst take.... nobody buys micro-compact cars. not because they’re too expensive, but because they’re terrible.

The average UAW worker makes $90k/yr, we aren’t talking about impoverished workers here. They’re fighting to get from $30/hr to $33/hr and get guaranteed overtime. They have better healthcare coverage than basically any job you can name, and they get pensions. We are talking about the best, cushiest, most

It’s a DEPRESSION, not a recession, and it is NOT OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

50,000 people will make far better use of $2k/yr more in their pocket then a multi-millionaire will do with an extra few million. Also - GM clearly has cash if they can spend billions of stock buybacks that would have been illegal 20 years ago.

While I agree about management bonuses, you’re talking about a drop in the bucket”

Absolutely factual in my state. Yesterday we just had new taxes start.

UAW workers are being spoiled brats that don’t understand their jobs will be almost completely gone in 10 years time when GM/FoMoCo/FCA and everyone else start producing EVs.

If I were in this market, I’d still take the Camry V6. It won’t depreciate as much and will still be running in 10-15 years. And I wouldn’t worry about reliability on a daily basis.

Wow, just read your whole thread, that sounds absolutely horrible!

So in other words, it’s because it’s a Kia?

This car drives great, but build quality is poor. My story:

Allow me, because I sold mine after 5 weeks.

There are always people who can’t afford the cars they buy...
