The bar is unbelievably low, but people still manage to limbo right under it.

Thank goodness! The speed bumps on the back way behind the Whole Foods to get to the Starbucks’ drive through are a real bitch.
Love ‘off-road’ vehicles that are capable of making it 40 feet further down a trail than a stock Yaris.
oh goody can’t wait to see all the scoccer moms here in n. virginia driving these things.
Totally agree with your assessment of older Acuras. The newer ones (minus the ILX) definitely feel a big step above the equivalent Honda. NVH is substantially lower, doors are heavy and close with a nice German thud, and there’s more soft touch materials. The difference isn’t as pronounced as Lexus vs Toyota, but it’s…
Who is the target customer that wants, and pays for this "sports package"(it’s little more than an appearance package) in a 7 seater family Crossover? I mean, it’s not even something like an Edge ST or explorer ST that has more power/torque to go with the appearance and suspension upgrades.
I’m surprised the Tesla odometer rollback issue didn’t make the list today. That’s a potentially massive disaster for them.
The diesel engine is close to $10,000 more than the gas, the 7.3L will likely be more like a $1000 upcharge.
Those are for wealthy ranchers or something. The vast majority of these things will have the most basic setup.
Depends on your use case. My friend has a commercial roofing business and his modern diesel trucks are all super problem prone. Most of his business is fairly local so mileage is less of a concern. He’s switching over to big gas engines. Cheaper maintenance, less quadruple digit priced failures.
NO. NO they are not doing us a favor. Here in LA, most night energy comes from coal. Teslas have clogged the HOV lanes, bringing real transit solutions (aka buses and shuttles) to a standstill. Meanwhile all the Tesla fux want to “charge at night when rates are low”. In LA the rates are low at night simply because the…

exactly. the numbers expectations are completely different.
Yep, I think this is it. You can throw every option into a $10,000 car (assuming it has them), and it’s still never going to drive like it’s a $30 or 40k one, even if it costs the same. “Feel” is definitely part of the equation, as of course is “badge.”
Welcome to business.
Other luxury brands will catch back up when they start manufacturing electric vehicles, which they inevitably will. Also, it feels weird calling Tesla a luxury vehicle. I know they’re expensive, but luxury isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when I think about their cars.
Likely very high. We’ll find out by the end of 2019.
It’s not a surprise that it outsold Cadillacs and Lincolns. Those two brands are on life support in any event. It is a surprise that it outsold all Mercedes, BMW’s and Audis though.
How many of the Model 3 sales are just Tesla finally fulfilling their multi-year backorder list?
That it was ever valued above GM is nuts.
