This is good news. She’s always seemed like a decent human being, and to have to face such underhanded duplicity from a parent on top of struggling very publicly with mental illness is just absurdly unfair. May she keep on getting well, and hopefully extricate that viper of a father from her orbit forever. 

Wingard’s done some great stuff, but he badly botched rebooting one of the classic horror masterpieces of the 90s with ‘Blair Witch’, so consider me cautious when I hear he’s now remaking/rebooting one of the classic action masterpieces of the 90s.

I like Wingard’s stuff but he botched the Blair Witch reboot horribly, so I have my reservations about this one.

Hopefully more a reboot than a remake, since the original was both financially successful and widely critically acclaimed when it was released, so like...why?
