I’ve been reading a lot about how shaming doesn’t work..but I still think it’s worth giving it the old college try!

Same thing happened to me when I got a facelift about 20 years ago. I went from having doors slammed in my face and being essentially invisible, to having those doors once again held open, seats offered and being hit on.

Every narcissistic, delusional person I have ever known plays the “I don’t remember this” card when you call them on their shit. when yi have them dead to rights they can’t come back with anything else, so they resort to the amnesia defense..all the better to make you the crazy one.

If this is “the silent majority”, I’d hate to see what the noisy ones are like.

Poor kid. Kellyanne sounds just like my mother..she was charming to outsiders and incredibly abusive and emotionally sadistic to me in private.
It sounds like Claudia is trying to protect herself as well as she knows how..and when you are sixteen you really have no power and are at the mercy of your abuser.

Okay, I did not know about that whole re-hiring thing with fired officers. That’s horrible.

The very best thing about this moment, is that I don’t feel I have to be a slave to the news. It’s safe to ignore things here and there! Maybe focus on my own actual life!

This was a very long time ago and I’m glad things have changed.

I lasted with co-workers (in broadcasting) for a little over 3 years. I hated it so much that I left radio completely ( sexual harassment was off the charts) and have been self employed for forty years now. No boss! No co-workers! At this point I’d die before I worked for anyone else. I don’t know how people stand it.
