I want an ambiguous, trippy, The Thing-like telling of a bad week among astronomers set at the Alma Observatory.

Yeah, this show had way too many loose ends and empty hints for something that was practically a miniseries. If it's part of the theme, fine— make the ending as vague as the rest of it so the inconsistency is…consistent.
