Twitter does a pretty fantastic job of exposing people’s inner asshole. It’s not quite as good as alcohol, but what is?
If you are actively showing you have no fucks to give about other people who have done nothing wrong to you, do you really deserve to benefit from society any more? Anyone who says “Sticks and Stones” doesn’t know shit about how much impact socially condoning these kind of jokes has.
Yeah. It’s all the “children of the internet” having to re-learn what accountability is
As opposed to making the bullied people internalize it like they’ve had to do the whole time?
You mean a one time bastion to abuse people for personal gain?
If you don’t know that making crass jokes about dead children will offend your potential audience and create headaches for your sponsors, then you suck at your job and deserve to be fired.
Wow, this guy is pathetic. Gamers follow this kind of dumb unfunny prick??
Shut up you tit, He was perfectly happy to make jokes at the expense of murdered children knowing full well that children were present at concert and that many probably were killed. He made his pathetic joke publicly, it is open to public critism and the asshole does deserve to lose all his sponsorship deals as a…
He should lose his sponsors and take his insincere apology and shove it up his ass after making a joke at the expense of the children who lost their lives to the terrorist attack. His apology was a blatant attempt to avoid losing sponsorship deals after the backlash for his comment, nothing more and nothing less. He…
Make the joke IRL to friends who are on the same general humor spectrum and who are aware that something reprehensible is coming. Don’t do it online where literally everyone can see and where any nuance or sarcasm will be lost.
So basically...
Lives ruined? Nah. He’ll be fine in the long run. Some of the people at the concert? Not so much. Optics can be a real bitch.
So you think it’s normal to spend 3 years making the same bad joke that was already old when you started? I’m guessing you’re a dad.
This is like the CliffsNotes of everything you need to know about this guy.
What really gets me is that he tries to claim that he “Didn’t realize the magnitude of the tragedy”. The start of his joke is “MULTIPLE CONFIRMED FATALITIES at Manchester Arena”.
He’d be lucky to get something like that. All a place has to do is search his name after he submits his resume and toss it into the trash. As for the sick fuck part, he’s the type of guy that acts first, and asks forgiveness later. However, forgiveness isn’t easily given.
Very scant apology too for continuously joking (there are multiple tweets not mentioned here) for about 6 hours about a situation where there are numerous dead children apparently.
David Leavitt’s new job will be, “Would you like fries with that?”
Really, no discussion? You can not factually tell me that police violence against minorities hasn’t been a subject of national discussion since Ferguson. Give credit where credit is due. I’m not saying that a great deal of progress has been made, but there are people trying to correct the issue. This dismissal and…
