Yep, I’ve seen several conservatives at this point trying to normalize nationalism. Their argument generally conflates patriotism and nationalism, then either strongly implies or directly accuses you of hating America if you’re not a nationalist.

This how we got Nazis the last time. People thought those of us warning of the danger were exaggerating.

I love how the first video is from some right wing news site that claims Owens “shreds” the Democrats, and some GOP stooge talks about safe spaces, but play back her comments and make her listen to them, and all the sudden she doesn’t look so tough.

How much better could our society be if we treated prisoners not only like human beings but actually like citizens? We expect them to serve their time and then rejoin society, but we completely dehumanize them the entire time they’re in prison. What purpose does that serve?
