The far right hate everyone that is not them. Just despise them. They really started going like mad dogs after Clinton. Before that, you had less of this loathing. When Reagan was shot, one of the first people by his bedside was his close friend and Democrat, Tip O’Neill. And no one on either side called them traitors

Somewhere, people are already formulating lunatic conspiracy theories based on the perception that this closely echos the death of Barack Obama’s grandmother a day or two before the election in 2008. And if he weren’t running for president right now, Donald Trump would be retweeting them.

Your Facebook account contains way more info than just what you post. Other things that say stuff about you: the times of day you check Facebook, the private messages you send, the number of people you block, the posts you type up but never post (which Facebook already saves), the rate you add new friends, the people

I don’t want Trump supporters dead, I just want them to take the journey to the right side of history.

You pretty much recaptured the definition in Heller’s Catch-22. The only thing I’d add is that therapy (“thahrapy” in Manhattan) also functions as a sort of indicator of wealth and social position.

If yard signs are any indication, someone’s been running over my and my neighbor’s Clinton/Kaine signs, and then just stole them completely. Despite being surrounded by a bunch of pristine “lock her up” and “Hillary for Prison” yard signs (ahhhh, the rural south). Makes it pretty clear who the bullies are vs actual

Well the algorithm could diagnose the person as someone having Narcissistic Personality Disorder and might be pretty accurate given those with NPD are prone to put out a very false front for the world. LOL IJS

I agree. But I was talking more about cultural availability and resources rather than willingness. AAs in the UK is a volunteer charity organisations who don’t charge or get much money to help people. They are very helpful for those who can choose to attend. But for some, that is a secondary or tertiary step AFTER

Anyone near a psychology doctoral program has access to cheap or free care, but most people probably don’t know about that. The APA ethics code also urges psychologists to take on pro bono cases every year.

Exactly. I have PTSD, depression, and struggle to maintain recovery for an eating disorder but I never, ever post anything but pleasant things - visits with family, vacation stuff, cute things my cat does, concerts, etc. It’s not really to “paint the best picture” but more so, who cares or wants to see/hear about that

Thanks, Dr. Phil, for fueling stupid misconceptions about mental health (like this one!) by diagnosing people for five minutes on TV!

because people put up sad profile pics when their moods change?

Fucking good. She should resign. It’s appalling that she leaked the questions from CNN, or that she even got them in the first place. And setting aside how stupid it was to leak things in general, she should at least have had the damn tradecraft to do it over the phone and not in a fucking email. And also, apparently

So?

And?

I never understood that. The wife and I only share a router, server, and wireless printer. I only go on her laptop to troubleshoot issues and we have our own devices. Me having my email info on her device just seems weird.

Same. The online stuff, combined with the fact that you can’t go to high school or college without getting some sort of “your online behavior is here forever” speech/handout/poster is one of the things that baffles me when we see things like this - presumably, if you go to Harvard, you realize that somebody somewhere

I understand that very well, but in this case, I am only referring to the way Trump and his supporters brushed off the recorded conversation that reminded the media what he was really like and the way the women from the soccer team (very effectively) referenced the phrase in their reply.

Yup. Why is this even a question?

You got it
