Having spent a lot of time in Mexico, I really don’t have a problem with those coming here illegally out of economic desperation or fear of drug cartels. Anyone here illegally who hasn’t broken the law should be given a work permit or a path to citizenship, particularly women with children.

That’s because it’s virtually impossible for college students to fully understand the complexity of the conflict. Anyone who thinks it’s as simply as “colonial oppressor/indigenous victim” has no grasp of either history or nuance.

As someone who believes 100% in the free exchange of ideas on college campuses, I believe any group that opposes the Israeli government should be respectfully allowed to speak without feeling harassed. I also believe any group that supports the current Israeli government has a right to speak without being harassed.

Maybe some conservatives do watch MSNBC to get a different perspective.

I really wish the American people realized one thing.
