Have you looked into the Ford Fusion? It looks like a pretty good economical approach.

I didn’t look into Boeing, but I have looked at a few other private fusion attempts in the past. More traditional plasma physicists tend to consider these very experimental / high risk...which is now to say they couldn’t work, just that there’s a culture difference between industry and academia :)
