You really should have :)
Yes. Good cast, IIRC, but good lord what a dreadful movie. Sudden_spouse and I were in such a terrible mood that we did something we never do - slipped into another theater. It was The Return of the King and the Riders of Rohan had just shown up in Gondor. Very cheering.
“lack the sense that the gods gave oysters” - may I please quote you?!
I agree totally on the food. About the movie, however, I have two words: “Secret Window.” Which we didn’t leave, but should have, oh, my God. It kept getting worse and worse and worse ... shudder.
Sorry, just saw this query! He stumbled and tried to catch himself by putting his hand on the step above him - unfortunately just as that step had flattened out and was about to disappear into the escalator mechanism. The top of his hand didn’t get caught (it could have!), but the skin of his palm ... did.
When I was 12, I saw a man skin his palm by falling at the top of an escalator at JFK Airport. Palm skin was NOT recovered.
Thank you. This ms. should have been made available for research. Period.
I can’t find it, but apologies if someone has already posted this classic photo of President Gerald Ford biting into a tamale in San Antonio, corn husk and all.
Props! I couldn’t have done it. Spent about a month eating Grape Nuts with sliced strawberries and sugar. That. Was. It. Later in the pregancy was fine, though!
Thank you, I needed that! (We watched Fox. Sigh.)
That was so heartbreaking.
Thank you! Unfortunately the plum is only in size 14, and I may be zaftig - but 14, no.
Oh, I agree! She has, however, proved to be a shrewd businesswoman.
It was also an effective eBay post, however.
Dang, that’s a lovely dress! Thank you for the link. If it weren’t white (which makes me look beyond sallow) I would actually consider buying it.
Why, oh why, is JCO retweeting everything Henri Cole posts?
Just - thank you, Anna. This is so important.
The reviews are fabulous.
You click on the underlined words - like “33 other people” and a bunch of screen names should pop up. I’m having better luck this week; not sure what the glitch was.
