Except McGriddles are sold all day now, so you don’t even have to do that!

Yeah, my neighborhood is upper middle - of course the guy that got caught did not live in the neighborhood and was also hitting another half dozen similar neighborhoods in a 5 mile radius.

We had some instances of cars in my neighborhood getting ransacked over a period of a few months. Camera footage shows that all the cars were unlocked.

No, sexy times in a car that will soon sink with the Titanic...

That’s an easy one:

I know, and there is still always the comment of “why did you become a car journalist then”.

I think the idea that meadering along in the slow lane in a slow car can be a perfectly fine thing would qualify as a Hot Take on a car enthusiast site.  I mean, it's no 'pizza is not a meal', but it's certainly not a popular opinion on a car blog.

meh, Jalopnik thrives on the Hot Take, and this fits in perfectly with that.

I’m cool with the lower range and HP, assuming it comes with a lower price (compared to the competition, not compared to an MX-30 with greater specs). Something like this would be a perfect start to an EV econo-car, but I assume that will come in the form of a Kia or mini-Prius, not this.

They are in tailgate mode.  I guess if you wanted to hangout on the tailgate this would be slightly more comfortable?  The only time I’ve used them in this mode is this past New Years - stuck one of my kids and his cousin in the seat to watch fireworks.  Kept them from climbing all over the car.

Wait... You’ve never seen Road House?

They’d lose money on that deal, but I guess they plan on making that up on the 5 other people that only drove 6k miles/year in that same timeframe.  Or the peeps that paid the $3k down and only kept it for a month.

It certainly looks better than the Model Y. What is the likelihood that this actually makes it to production rather than disappearing into the ether? 60%?

Ugh, so many times I’ve picked up a rental car with maybe a gallon or two in it.  Always a damn hassle.

Ok, my comment has absolutely nothing to do with this Peloton ad, but your comment just brought forward a very vivid memory I have from childhood. This was probably in the late 80s-early 90s, there was a show on PBS with this guy who lived in the woods, I believe he may have even lived inside of a hollow log. I

I can’t disagree with you there. Honestly this being Jalopnik, I wasn’t sure if your first response was regarding racism, or if it was going to be a rant about “fascist HOAs controlling what good God-fearing folk can do in their own yard.”

I think OP has the higher upfront cost accounted for in their $500 difference. Cuz I know I spend a lot more than $500 on gas every year.

I mean yes, HOAs started with super racist beginnings. Are HOAs ‘what’s wrong with almost all of America’? No, I can think of a whole lot of things that would be higher on that list.

I wouldn’t mind him as a neighbor, if he’s willing to teach me some of his skills. Also he has some legit tools that I wouldn’t mind borrowing.
