I had to quit the Hummer Club once I got married.

Can anyone recommend a programmable ‘stat that can take temperature readings from a wireless sensor (or two)? Both my upstairs and downstairs units are very poorly placed!

I would definitely be interested in this (though the Disco Sport is more in my price range). A couple of thoughts regarding how this compares to Chevy for example:

Savannah has you covered...

Pure luck. I was just looking for LSes through PenFed’s car finder tool (TrueCar), and this one happened to be 10 miles down the road from me.

For just over the $15k mark, you could buy what I bought a few months ago: ‘04 Lexus LS430 with a whopping 33k miles on it. I’ve added 5k miles to it in 3 months.

PenFed.org, which is who Doug recommended at some point. They’ll finance anything if you have good enough credit.

My credit union gave me 0.99% on a 2004 Lexus LS430. Granted, it was no where near the $45k that Doug borrowed.

I sold my Focus ST and replaced it with an ‘89 735i. I do regret it, but mostly due to the car I replaced it with (wanted a W126, but couldn’t find one i liked for the price that I wanted).

One way to get people to start using snow tires, is to stop calling them snow tires. They are actually winter tires, something something about the rubber compound not hardening in temperatures under 40*F like typical summr/all-seasons.

Give me Dragon Medical 2 at 65% off, and I'll buy 20 of them. Not joking.

I'm in the market for a second-hand lx470, but its difficult because they hold their value extremely well. Apparently the last-gen was so popular that 250,000 mile examples are still commanding almost $20k prices.

Heh, I saw Book of Mormon just last night, and it was phenomenal! Parking was free of course.

Just a note, you do not need to let it lapse to get the $25 rate. I just told them no to their first offer when calling to 'cancel' (renew) and that's the next rate I got.

North Carolina should definitely be Stink Bugs.

Mine ate water pumps, radiators, and a/c compressors (all before 100k miles), I'm pretty sure that's not the norm though. :( I really WANTED to love it, it just didn't want to be loved.

A bit off-topic, but I'm currently shopping for a w126 560SEL, and I happened to run across this interesting bimmer. Any thoughts on how un-reliable the v12 is in this? Should the ultra-low miles be a complete turn-off to me? Thanks for any insight!

The correct answer is, "just enough".
