I've had fantasies about doing this to my Rabbit once it's paid off... Make it into an urban road warrior. Black bedliner, steel wheels with beefed up suspension (for Houston potholes), etc., etc.

Mental note, watch for news film crews along the road on cold days.

I had to remove my wedding ring to watch this.

Packed up my '93 del Sol si with as much as I could fit in snacks, clothes, and supplies, and burned a stack of MP3 CDs with all my favorite music and embarked on a solo 2,200 mile journey from White River Junction, Vermont to Houston, Texas three days before Christmas.
