Holy shit, that metroid one is amazing! Honestly, they’re all great!

Anybody who doesn’t like our friendly neighborhood Hawkguy clearly hasn’t read Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye series. It’s goddamn exquisite. It’s got a lotta heart, not to mention humor, action, drama... It’s just damned awesome! And Kate Bishop is damned awesome, too! I really hope the show does both characters justice.

Whedon thought he could treat Gal the way he treated women on Buffy and Angel and got a surprised. He was a small fish in a big pond, this time around.

Get Back is not a Beatles album. It’s a song and the title of the documentary. So no, I don’t think we’d all agree it’s their worst album. Unless you mean Let it Be, which is what they’re recording in the doc. And even that is not their worst.

Maybe I’ve got a bit of a different perspective, because I’ve spent so much time studying the American Civil War, but I picked up on the whole ‘Lost Cause’ subtext of Firefly from the get-go, so finding out Whedon is an asshole came as no surprise to me.

It’s possible for two people to suck at once.

Dunno if you watched his shows, but Whedon’s sensibilities, for lack of a better term, are all over Avengers. But he got too big for his britches, oh well.

What a fucking bummer, to learn a personal hero is also a piece of shit. Not even gonna touch the disparate treatment of Gadot vs. Fisher by the suits; stuff like that doesn’t even register... which means I’m irrevocably broken.

whats exactly wrong with hawkeye anyway? dispite being a normal human he has superhuman levels of sight and accuracy. give him some starktech arrows and he’s pretty much unstoppable at a distance.

Haven’t seen PP. The screenwriters had the Amy character ‘reclaiming’ the hurtful word, so they still got to use it throughout however many films? Crafty.

Gosh. I looooove Billy Porter, but I see Harry Styles as doing more of a Mick Jagger/New York Dolls kind of thing, which was also copied by every hair band in the 1980s. The posters on my wall of Motley Crue and Poison in their early days might as well have been drag queens- which was absolutely disconnected from

This would have been some good red meat for old jezebel, but the writers, and especially the commenters, that are here now can’t handle this kind of stuff and go with it. Too busy kissing ass and being pollyannas.

Yes, awesome. Fantastic.

There are moments when I think Hughes and Barsanti don’t know what they’re talking about and don’t bother to give the slightest of efforts in learning any of it but write about it anyway. (it’s every time they post)

(I completely missed a golden opportunity to end that post with “Signed, the guy who remembers Doctors.”  Alas.)

He just has to embrace his inner darkness and become the Corporate Champion that he deserves to be.

This almost a non-sequitur, but one of my moments of really understanding what actors can do was watching Tomorrow Never Dies and hearing Pierce Brosnan say the title without it sounding goofy as heck—and when he popped up here to talk about Dr. Fate I was again impressed by his delivery. I like the Rock! It’s gonna

“What we don’t see in the clip: Any of the film’s other stars, including Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell, Sarah Shahi, or Pierce Brosnan,...”

I’m just excited by the chance of seeing Johnson actually act for a change.  He brought some nice edge to his character in Doom, so we know he can do it when he wants to.

There are moments where I think that AV Club assumes that everything DC Cinematic Universe does is somehow in response or ripping off MCU.
