I fucking love the movie II-VI uniforms. They might be my favorite in ALL of Trek. The later season DS9, when they switched to just colored shoulders, are probably second. The First Contact uniforms are tops as well.

people dying doesn’t magically absolve from the harm they’ve caused or horrifying things they’ve said or done.

Fully agreed. It stinks.

Of the many irritating choices made by DC under the guiding hand of Geoff Johns was restoring Hal Jordan and Barry Allen as the “primary” Lantern and Flash. Both because Barry sucked then and sucks now —- Wally was Flash almost as long and was a zillion times better.

cullen as prime is still surprising, honestly. obviously most of the casting is “random celebrity who will do like four lines and then have them heavily processed”

Did not like peach or Luigi's voices.

Correct. I’m the exact age for Nostalgia and it’s got some neat ideas, but it’s not a good movie.

Unlike a lot of adaptations, everything in this is 100% Super Mario Bros, and that’s good. It looks like has a higher level of craft put it into that than most of Illumination’s hot dump —- if only because Nintendo probably wasn’t going to allow them to do whatever they wanted, which would be “let’s make it like Sing

I don’t think people really knew this movie existed. If they did, there would have been a much bigger uproar from the bigots lol.

Is Black Adam free, or just available for digital rental/purchase?

I saw a trailer for it when I went to see... something. I don’t remember. That is literally the only time I have heard or seen anything about it until this release. Not sure where the marketing is, but it certainly barely existed.

Arguably, the prevalent nostalgia for the ’80s, even by those who weren’t alive to experience it, could be credited to Spielberg, as Hollywood has continuously adjusted its bike gears in an attempt to keep up with the course set by Amblin.”

IMO some of these companies would have been better off not trying to start their own services and instead just licensing content. But they all stubbornly believe that their particular subset of content will win out over all else.”

I suppose I do consider... how do we or anybody expect streaming services to be profitable without ads? Putting money into original content, paying fees for big shows. For just the one sub fee. I’m not saying it all should (or will) go back to the full old model, but it is curious.
