I can’t speak to exactly that, bu tit’s worth noting that Muslim, like Christian, does not denote or represent the full monolith of traditions, practices, etc. Even just like not all Muslim women choose to wear hijab.

i’m curious how they portray luigi. i hope with miyamoto and nintendo’s close involve it’s not just a bunch of immediately dated pop culture gags.

oooooh. i mentioned above, i didn’t hate the cummerbund grinch, my kids liked it, it wasn’t the jim carrey shitshow, fine. it was fine. now i’m curious what horrifying messages and themes i missed! Cos I probably haven’t thought about it for more than five seconds 

their peanuts movie was so inoffensively terrible. blech 

I didn’t hate that Grinch movie, or Benedict in it. But I have kids and it was also a million times better than the jim carrey fuckshow grinch.

Good call. I totally forget it was Samberg doing Dale for the flick because it just WORKED. Mulaney’s voice was still good, but it wasn’t as great. And it wasn’t the level of actual VOICE ACTING Mulaney does on Big Mouth, where he goes CRAZY in character as Andrew.

Emmett isn’t exactly that different from Andy in Parks & Rec. I think it’s a *wonderful* performance in a terrific movie, but it’s Chris Pratt, not a “voice.” 

I fourth this. It’s a good voice for exclamations, little lines, quips, the 2-3 word phrases in mario kart etc. I can’t imagine having that voice as actual dialogue for an entire movie.

DeVito’s voice would harken back to the 80s/90s Lou Albano inspired Mario voice. Interesting to note that Martinet’s first instinct WAS to play Mario as a gruff, NOO YAWK style plumber --- which is exactly what Mario’s voice in Supershow/SMB3/SMW toons was.
