There is more WTF in this movie than any dozen movies you think were also WTF.  And it all works.  It all works WELL.  It takes a lot to get me to give a movie a 9/10 but this one deserves it and possibly more.

Yeah, it's definitely made by people who love Sonic. The plot at one point even hinges on Sonic doing not so great in water!
