My theory is the Paul thing was set up to re-emphasize that Rory’s always been the center of her own bad decisions. Otherwise, it would be too easy to fall into the “Logan’s a sh*tbird for cheating on his fiance / Rory is a victim who was led on” conclusion. By setting her up early as a person who can treat people as

there is no need to be rude. I’m aware that it is better to fight than to die, and i did not suggest accepting death is step three. like many other people on this thread, I am saying that without full context or education on active shooter protocol, this could be interpreted as an invitation for untrained young people

I did not say that it was easy to obtain automatic weapons. I said that it is legally possible to obtain them in a number of states. Which is true.

Respectfully, your info is not wholly true. You said that they are banned - they are not. If you’re referring to the federal assault weapons ban included in the mid-90s VCLA (which had a clause allowing existing owners to keep their arms), that ban was directed at semi-automatic weapons. And it expired in 2004.

wow. always knew he was crazy but that’s nuts.

yes, this makes sense. but in slight defense of the critique of that messaging, it *could* be interpreted as a suggestion to leave a safe space and try to fight an armed assailant on one’s own. yes, it’s common sense. but based on the past month, this country is bad at common sense.

Anna, spotted a small error - one of the updates is listed as 10:40 PM. FYI.

Not federally? There are many states in which you can legally own automatic weapons with registration and licensing. And you can get semi-autos in most states, as we have seen far too many times.

i’m clear that it’s a last resort. I’m saying that when presented with limited information, it could be interpreted as an invitation for someone to jeopardize their own safety to try to fight an armed attacker without knowing anything about the situation or what they are up against.

yeah i get that.

i understand that. it just seems concerning that some people, especially college kids, may read that and try to take matters into their own hands or play hero before having relevant information.

Fight?! This feels like terrible advice or a weird troll hack. I hope it’s the latter but it’s likely not. F*** this country.

I think the competition factor changes things a bit. These are athletes competing in front of a global audience and judges for a large sum of money, and for a position of athletic distinction. If you’re doing art for art’s sake, being highly provocative can be intended as a statement. Here, in a competitive atmosphere

Wowwww. And he was kind of the original recipient of the full report from the girls - - I am wary about someone with existing shadiness being a main advocate for two very young kids’ testimonies. abuse allegations should always be taken seriously. young children can be so malleable and it can be hard enough to get

Thanks. Honestly I do understand that. I think that many white people freeze up when that word enters the picture - we just don’t know how to handle it because we don’t want to say the wrong thing. I’m not defending her in the slightest and I agree with what you said, the reason I ask is because white people, myself

Honest question: what would have been the correct way for her to respond? Asking genuinely. I am a white person and want to be more sensitive in this regard.

....Which is the new nervous breakdown!

Is it possible to feel empathy for Kanye the human, while still being all “bitch I don’t miss u” to Kanye the asshole?

You’re asssuming we ever leaned about it to begin with.

My grandfather was interned similarly, it was just across an ocean instead of in this country, and it happened to be because of his jewish identity versus japanese.
