Sometimes a penis is just a penis.

I can't wait until Fahrenthold releases a book about his behind the scenes experience with this election years from now. Washington Post is doing The Lord's work is their Trump coverage. The unedited interview with Trump and WaPo's editorial board is a masterclass in both the necessity and futility of calling out

Unbelievable that he lost Best Supporting Actor in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest to George Burns, who plays himself, in The Sunshine Boys. Does anyone even remember TSB?

Admit that the unconscious woman he and Jean Celestine raped wasn't able to give consent?

If he were still alive and had something to say about BoaN, yeah. Since neither is true…

I don't get how some people can shit all over AS for being garbage when it's one of the few launchpads for new ideas from solid people that other places wouldn't take the chance on. Does anyone think NBC would take a chance on Children's Hospital? Rick and Morty? Both are from established comedians, but they wouldn't

One of the features from The Dissolve that I miss is the One Year Later retrospective on blockbusters from the past. It's a shame such a good idea hasn't caught on elsewhere. Regular retrospectives from a POV not influenced by marketing and hype.

The video was scrubbed from BET.com's website because Nate wised the fuck up about saying such stupid shit on video and got his publicist to delete it, but there are sites that pounced on it. Here's Ebony's take in 2014:

The best was Benicio Del Toro angling a TMZ cameraman's shot so Maick would be in the background and Maick doing his best to stay out of frame.

About five years ago Jack Reacher's Christopher McQuarrie tried to get a "7 vs. Al-Qaeda" movie off the ground where a SEAL team defends a village forced to grow opium by Al-Qaeda.

Christ, this woman is a bloody saint. She did mention something about muffins, so she could eventually pop in for some Supper Club related newswires!

I'm glad that article mentions Mary Barra, who is the textbook example of the glass cliff in action. She was appointed GM's CEO right as the faulty ignition switch scandal hit the news. Not only did they shove her in front of congress to answer for the problems the prior CEO Dan Akerson ignored, but they paid her half

(The final volume came out after the film, and Otomo has stated he figured out that ending during a conversation with fellow comic-/filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky, though Jordorowsky doesn’t recall what he said.)

Can you really fault the American Godzilla movies with glossing over the Hiroshima Nagasaki overtones when everything Godzilla related for the past forty years has been goofy Kaiju battles?

It's a no-win situation for any news outlet covering Netflix's ratings. There's Symphony's very precise measurements on an inaccurate number versus whatever Netflix releases to the public, which would be like someone showing their hand in a poker tournament. Either way, it's ultimately a waste of time since Netflix

Nor any less frustrating and anger-inducing.

Criterion did release Triumph of the Will, thankfully. It's a morally reprehensible film, but a vital cultural document that needs to be preserved in order to understand the mindset of Germany when it was made and the effects of propaganda.

Can we get Jordan Sargent over here to do nothing but review garbage like Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music or high decibel owl screeching? Something that's physically painful to watch or listen to but without any cultural value so as to render that pain meaningless and easily ignorable?

"This is fine" and his follow-up "This is not fine" should be the front and back covers of every college textbook covering major depression. The subtext is right there but never noticed the countless times the two panels have been shared.

November 16, 2015 is the day I started worrying about the A.V. Club. The 'Four Our Consideration: The Star Wars prequels don't deserve your hatred' is posted.
