I've heard that it's video card related but effectively it is totally random. It's still an enjoyable game for 5$ even if you can't see the ending sequence. Some people like the other poster here have had no problems, so it might be fine.
There are at lest two game breaking bugs which have not been fixed on certain configurations. You won't know until you're at those points.
