Will check those out, I’ve had him on my list for a while
Have read Thomas Ligotti’s Teatro Grottesco and Brian Evenson’s Song for the Unraveling of the World so far during the pandemic. Both are soul crushingly morbid. Both have made me feel great.
I love these music write-ups because the following cycle is true 90% of the time:
The sad thing about the Peele Twilight Zone (at least the first season) is that it failed to grasp a huge lesson that the original series already learned the hard way: the episodes have to be a half hour or less to work!! All the classic original episodes are the half hour format (which really means 20+ minutes with ad…
Surely she's not questioning the historical wisdom of Rob Schneider.

Well he is Deandre Cole's best friend.
Edit: ok it evens out. Overall better than season 11. Maybe was a bit hasty and cranky!
Just watched first of it- the riffs are still way too goddamn fast.
His Black and White album holds up as one of the greatest of all time. RIP
Yes, yes, and yes.
The News Radio episode where he gets a cane is one of the greatest comic performances in TV. That's my first thought of him always.
The bad vibes surrounding this record are pretty well documented, enough to make such a glowing write up a little strange. Yes, this record empowered a lot of listeners. But gushing talk about Hill’s “raw talent” being the reason for the record’s greatness... ask the people who worked with her (or check the concert…
