Yeah, it seems they have invited a huge amount of hate on their product by pursuing the “bodega” angle. These guys are almost Martin Scarelli-level hated right now. Just a “better vending machine” approach would have been a lot less outrage-inducing.

Yeah, my first thought on seeing this was “how is this going to work on my tablet”. Reading digital comics works great except for the double-page spreads or stuff like this. The ratios don’t quite work.

Nosaj Thing is one of my faves in an LA scene that has sputtered out a bit in the past couple years. For a more aggressive take on the LA beat sound, I’d recommend Gaslamp Killer’s Instrumentalepathy album.
