Look, everyone here has made some cogent points but I just want to say that nonetheless I've been laughing for five straight minutes at the phrase "Ho tactics." I'm sure that makes me a bad person on some level.

You're correct and it dawned on me after I made the joke.

Alex Jones and Chill

I guess "Woke Dating" was taken already.

Wow… never heard of this guy before but I agree with just about everything he said about the state of rap. Spot on.

Also, Talib Kweli continues to defend her on twitter and it's kinda sad because he seems to be the only fellow artist doing so as far as I can tell. Others have either been subtweeting or just remaining silent. I can already feel the ire of a dozen or so av clubbers shaking their heads disapprovingly at my mention of

Yeah, I'm siding with the fans on this one.

Man, I hope this is the thing that brings down facebook for good. And I'd be more impressed with the conservative-topic suppression if it was actually working. Pretty much every conservative leaning piece of "news" I encounter these days seem to have been linked through facebook.

Hasn't it been established that Kevan isn't particularly liked among the other Lannisters? I imagine the feeling is somewhat mutual.

I don't know why but I just felt the writers went a little overboard with Furlong this week. Maybe it's as Kate says that his scene wasn't really needed but I found myself cringing at stuff he was saying about his assistant's wife and I don't ever cringe. It could also be the fact that we'd never really seen her

I actually never saw the video but I know who you're talking about. Tbh, I haven't really kept up with that whole crew like I used to back in high school but I remember hearing that Paul Wall tried starting a joint venture with the jewelry guy or something.

That's a deep cut.

Having followed his career for years before ridin' dirty became a hit, I'm actually not all that surprised by his current situation, money-wise.

As a notoriously terrible dancer, it's been a fun eight years having a president prove you can be the coolest guy in the room and a bad dancer simultaneously.

Well done.

I definitely get that. I don't have stats to back it up but I'm willing to bet a sizable percentage of non-whites attending Ivy league schools like Harvard aren't attending because their parents have Harvard money lying around. I know one person through a friend who attended on a full scholarship.

I guess all I'm asking for is more nuance and diversity in film and tv depictions of the white american experience.

You should really see the film as I can't really do this argument justice rn but no, I don't find it odd and the film definitely touches on that but not so much in the "isn't it ironic" way.

There's different types of privilege and iirc, the film actually dealt with that a bit.

It'll be nice if Netflix could make some shows geared toward white people for a change.
