Reflektors is at least better than Neon Bible dammit

Is this thing on?

Good night to everyone except Ernie.

A nice feature to add would be ability to have images/videos display without having to click the link

This! I kept thinking this the whole time he was on screen and it's odd that it never occurred to me during any of his scenes last season. Something else I also noticed is that the actor doesn't seem to enunciate his words in the same manner he did last season. Perhaps it's because he's putting on a bit of an act for

I guess what I'm trying poorly to get at is that there's a theoretical physics explanation for what Nora experiences after going through with the procedure (if she did) and there isn't one for Kevin's fun time adventures in Assassinland.

Oh yeah? You're telling me there's no way I could draw a connection to the floating space fetus at the end of 2001? Good day, sir!

But if I remember the episode correctly, Nora only mentions that her family is happy. I don't think she implied that everyone in that world is happy. I'd have to give it another watch.

Nice catch. I remember thinking the same thing.

Theroux's teeth on the other hand…

Your username is amazing!

The world with the departed isn't heaven. It's a world parallel to the world the show is set in.

If I were to buy the explanation from Nora of the departure (and I do, or at least I really want to), for me it makes Kevin's immortality and his adventures in Harvey-land even harder to parse as part of the overall Leftovers universe. I'm still a fan of those episodes but in retrospect it doesn't seem to play well

Agreed on the "science we don't understand" route especially because so much of religion (not to pick on any in particular) can arguably be traced back to people who experienced phenomena that there wasn't science advanced enough to explain at the time.

Also just adding that I love the decision not to include any scenes from the 2% world as Nora recounted her experiences there. Really left it up to the viewer to take her word for it or not.

Great show. Great finale. Would it be a terrible idea for a spinoff series that tells the story of the 2% on the other side?

My mind also went straight to Laurie's fetus after the reveal… could spark some interesting fan theories.

Kevin's exchange with Evie had me thinking briefly that the main universe could actually be the one populated with all the dead people. Someone feel free to tell me how stupid that theory is.

We'll probably never get an answer to that with just one episode left.

Agreed. However frustrating it might be, I'm happy with the show's overall message being about the universe, mysterious as it is, persisting, regardless of beliefs and/or hallucinations we harbor, however vivid.
