As a genuine fan of Serial, I don't approve of any of this.

McKay seems to have a real bone to pick with the 2008 financial crisis… more than any other director I can think of, including JC Chandor who directed the excellent Margin Call. It's like his anger with it propels him to craft really enjoyable entertainment from it.
