Ooh burn! :)

"Voice of China reports that Xiao Qiang is an average office worker and online gamer."

I agree. If there were 3 consoles, all with similar motion/voice controls mandatory with the system, you might actually see come cool games. But otherwise, it's a forced add on with little benefit. Even Nintendo had enough sense to see that motion controls day in the sun was over. They pushed motion to the background.

IMO, their first mistake was rushing an untested, unrequested "me too" technology to market as a way to shunt the success of the Wii and then using that as the foundation for their next console, all the while knowing their core fanbase had mostly rejected it as a wannabe gimmick.

Why would they? If what you say is even remotely true, it wouldn't make sense. If they had great Kinect games in the pipeline, they'd never just dump it like a boyfriend they just found out had herpes. If there was all this great gaming on the horizon with devs exploring its unfathomable limits, they'd never just

Do you think MS would have pulled it the way they did if ANY major devs had something seriously unique and interesting brewing in the pipeline? No way man. No way. I guarantee you that they polled the developers to find out what was out there. I'm guessing they heard the same crickets we've been hearing on Kinect for

Wow, this is brutal. My two favorites were the island of misfit toys and the Obi-Wan Kenobi storyboard. In the Island of Misfit toys, would be funny to have a Power Glove in the background, another idea that sounded great and ended up being an utter turd rejected by the market.

Have you tried the Wii-U TVii? It's pretty awesome. You can't shout at your TV, but the WiiU gamepad controls your tv/cable/volume with touch controls, which, IMO is even better. And you don't have to rewire your cable system. It works as is.

I haven't had trouble getting people to buy the Wii-U. I've recommended it to several people who ended up buying it and they're all happy with it so far.

While I understand what you're saying, I wouldn't phrase it that way. Yes, we are the owners of our emotions and reactions. We do have to take responsibility for them. That's a vital lesson that you have a learned and everyone needs to learn. But no emotion or reaction on our part can justify the acts of a bully

I love the message, "Can you find the hero within?" Because that's what it's all about. The best "anti-bullying" campaign doesn't seek to stop bullying but seeks to teach people how to stop giving bullies power over us. The answer is within each of us. I was bullied growing up. The only one who could stop it was me.

I've got a roku, a chromecast, 360, PS3, Wii, Wii-U, a tablet, and a PC and the Wii-U is, by far, the best netflix box/app out there. Plus it has some great games. If we're not playing SM3DW, DKC:TF or Unepic, we're watching Netflix or using WiiTv (which is pretty cool). I never thought a console would compete so

Glad they're getting on the external drive train. I just wish they would also add the feature to the xbox 360. I have lots of external drives around. Would love to be able to just plug one in and use it like I did with my Wii-U.

I love my Wii-U and even I can appreciate a good joke when I see it. Well done!

Reminds me of that crazy Moxxie gun in Borderlands two. "Slippery when wet". Sometimes, after emptying the clip, it just jumps out of your hands.

Sad to see it go but Oh well. I'll always have fond memories of Mario Strikers Charged (that game was SO amazing), Battalion Wars 2, and the crazy but lovable Excite Bots (though I would still pay serious money for a true Excite Truck sequel on Wii-U!).

I wonder if it can be big enough to change the momentum. If any game could do it, it would probably be that one. Can't wait to see. I enjoy watching this stuff play out.

QUOTE | "This change will be enough to push the Xbox One installed base higher than PS4 in the U.S. and Canada in 2015." - IDC analyst Lewis Ward, commenting on Microsoft's decision to release a Kinect-less Xbox One for $399.

That's actually not true. It's not just a faster broadway. Whether it's a revolution is subjective. But it's definitely not just a faster broadway. It's a new modern architecture (Power7) and is a triple core design. Completely different from the single core broadway. And probably a bigger jump in performance from
